For example, day 1 you have one penny. Day 2 your gain is now one penny, but when you factor in a 30% capital gains tax, you end the day with 1.7 cents.

However, by increasing the amount you save by just one penny extra each day, you’ll soon have saved up hundreds of £££. Day one = 1p.
